Before You Close

You built a successful recruiting firm. We give you someone to pass it on to.

You spent years building this thing. Nights, weekends, a couple of recessions, and at least one recruiter who walked out the door with your best client on his way to start his own shop.

So now what?

Most owners never answer that question. They just work until they’re done working, shut off the website, and walk away from something they spent twenty years building. That’s not an exit strategy. That’s a light switch.

We’re the other option.

Another Way Out

An Exit With A Financial Reward

If you own a direct placement recruiting firm and you’re looking for an exit strategy, NewConfig may be your answer.

Whether you’re retiring, burnt out, or you’ve just had enough of chasing hiring managers and candidates who ghost you on start day, we give you a way to monetize your years of hard work.

You get paid before you walk away. That’s the whole idea.

Real People

Not A Faceless Buyer

You will know who is taking over the business, who is talking to your clients, and who is going to be keeping the business running.

This isn’t a private equity fund. There’s no committee. There’s no 800 number and no analyst in a different time zone.

NewConfig is Dmitry Nulman. When you call, you’re talking to him. When your clients meet their new point of contact, he makes that introduction himself. When something goes sideways in year two — and something always goes sideways in year two — he’s the guy who picks up the phone.

We’re building a group of recruiting firms. We’re not flipping them.

How It Works

Start with a Conversation

You don’t need to know what your business is worth before you reach out, and you don’t need everything figured out.

1. Fill Out the Form or Schedule a Call

Share your contact information and let us know what kinds of search firm you run. Tell us how you found us too, because that helps us understand where the conversation started.

2. We Call You

A NewConfig representative will get in touch and ask a few questions about the business. We want to understand why you are thinking about selling and whether this might be a real fit.

3. We Talk Through the Business

If it looks promising, we’ll schedule a video call and talk through the details. That means revenue, EBITDA, employees, client relationships, your motivation to sell, and what you want to do next.

4. We Review the Documents

If both sides want to move forward, we will need the information that helps us understand the business. That may include three years of personal returns, business returns, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other documentation.

5. We Discuss the Transition

If there is a path forward, we talk about how NewConfig could take over the business and keep it running. Your role may narrow to relationship introductions and coaching, instead of working 60 to 80 hours a week.

Questions Owners Ask

What You Want to Know

If you are thinking about selling, retiring, or just shutting the business down, these are usually the first questions we hear. Owners want to know how much money they can get, how long they need to stay involved, and what happens to their clients after we take over. Before you walk away from everything you built, we want to help you see if there is another way out.

How much money will I get if I sell to you?
Have We Done This Before?
How much will I still have to work in this business?
Will I have to sign a non-compete?
What will you do with my business?
What If The Business Slows Down After I Sell?
What Happens To Your People?
What Happens To Your Name?
Is This A Fit?
How Long Does This Take?
Do you have to retire to do this?
Do I Have to Sign an NDA?
Not Ready Yet? Take This.

You Have Nothing to Lose

Schedule the Conversation.

Thirty minutes. No documents, no numbers, no commitment. You tell us about your firm, we walk you through how this works, and you decide whether there’s a reason for a second call.

Worst case, you spend half an hour finding out what your business is actually worth.
